I am so excited to join Karla Nathan's Birdsong Tag Book Swap - my first swap! There are over 100 people participating and so many lovely tags have been submitted - see here.
My little "studio", a.k.a. the guest bedroom, is a wreck after digging through boxes and bins for just the right this and that - what could be more fun! Here I stitched a strand of vintage glass beads onto a length of velvet ribbon, then attached it to a piece of old lace.
I thought my tags would have big flowery pieces of vintage wallpaper on them, but I fell in love this chartreuse and blue combo. Sometimes I wonder why I spend so much time planning when the things I make always turn out so differently!
Inside each birdhouse is a place for everyone to add a little treasure of their own - an image, snippet of ribbon, scrap of favorite paper . . . it's fun to think that we can art play even though we may be hundreds of miles apart. :)
